Screen Queens has been a champion of emerging women and LGBTQIA+ film critics and filmmakers since 2013, and is a space curated exclusively by those communities, with a reach of volunteers across the globe. Through reviews, essays, interviews and our podcast, we aim to amplify marginalized cinema and reassess classic works through a feminist lens, in addition to reviewing the latest releases.
Want to write for us?
We are always open for pitches for reviews, essays, interviews and more. We are especially passionate in nurturing early career film critics who may not have a breadth of experience, so please don’t be shy!
We are also a non-profit ran by volunteers so please keep this in mind when pitching to us as we do not have any income to pay our writers.
