MyFrenchFilmFestival have announced their 2021 lineup with a selection of films from both their own history and previous editions of the Cannes Film Festival.
Leading the film selection is Mr leos caraX, directed by Tessa Louise-Salomé, a documentary examining Carax’s journy from fantastic success as a young, poetic filmmaker to having a reputation as a controversial, mad genius. With Carax’s latest film Annette premiering at Cannes this year, this promising to be an interesting delve into the director behind of Cannes’ most anticipated films.
Also showing at the festival is the beautiful, hand-drawn animated film The Swallows of Kabul, a love story set in Taliban-occupied Kabul in 1988, and Léa Mysius’ Ava, a coming of age film about a young girl gradually losing her sight.
MyFrenchFilmFestival runs from 6th-17th July, with all 12 feature films and 12 short films subtitled in more than 10 languages, for free on MyFrenchFilmFestival.com.
